J.J. Diamond started writing songs at an early age based upon the music of Jimmy Reed, and the Rolling Stones that influenced his style and subject matter during the formative years of learning to play piano and guitar. The above two influences, opened the doors to the many other great blues-based artists that appeared as part of the “British Invasion”, of the 1960’s and 70’s. As well as, the great American blues, and soul artists of that era that have had so much influence on the modern music that we hear today.
He recorded his first album of music in 2002 at Blitz Recording Studios in San Diego. Entitled, Hombre de Hielo, it was well received and posted excellent reviews on CD Baby.com. The follow up to that album was a four song compilation entitled, Diamond Street. A third album entitled, Rock Hard has just been released and is available at the present time
on CDbaby.
J.J. Diamond now resides in wonderful Las Vegas, Nevada where he is working on a fourth album and plans on performing at the numerous venues present in this great entertainment mecca.
